ADD Bihor has organized a work exchange in the Hungarian city of Derecske during the course of last week, in order to inform all its members as to the functionality and management of local didactic swimming pools.
The delegation from Bihor county was comprised from the executive leadership of ADD Bihor as well as the leaders of the 9 member cities and municipalities of ADD Bihor at the level of mayor and vice-mayor.
“This visit to Hungary was organized in Derecske because it has been the home of a didactic swimming pool similar to those that our agency is currently building in Bihor county for many years. The members of ADD Bihor have thus been able to see firsthand what is entailed from a management standpoint in regards to such an objective. We have also had applied discussions in regards to implementing major development projects for small and medium cities, as well as financing opportunities from government and European funds” – Vitalyos Barna, executive director of ADD Bihor. He has also stated that, following the discussions, a collaboration proposition has taken shape in regards to a common, INTERREG Romania-Hungary program to be developed.
The details of this cross-border cooperation will be established at the level of experts within city halls and ADD Bihor. Our institution wishes to support the economic and social development of Bihor county and its member municipalities while respecting the principles of durable development. Currently, ADD Bihor has seven swimming pools in different stages of construction in Nucet, Sacueni, Marghita, Stei, Valea lui Mihai, Salonta and Beius.
