We regretfully observe the fact that the NATIONAL LIBERAL PARTY (NLP) is trying to manipulate public opinion and take all the credit in a very false way for a project that has not originated from within their ranks and to which they have not handed in a single contribution. In order for our citizens to be correctly informed, we have to present the following:
- The project of the Padurea Neagra Sports Complex belongs to ADD Bihor and to Bihor County and not to NLP Bihor or the city of Alesd.
- The source of financing for this investment, of over 6 million RON is fully ensured through the budget of Bihor County Council.
- The NLP mayor of the city of Alesd has not signed any contracts pertaining to the execution of construction on the project. He has been present at the headquarters of Bihor County Council on October 14th 2019 to witness ADD Bihor sign the contract with the constructor directly, being there only in a guest capacity, as was the case for all the other city officials from our member municipalities.
- As part of the Bihor County Council’s workgroup on September 20th 2019, the NLP group has not supported the investment at Padurea Neagra and voted against the project to rectify the budget for the year 2019 in order to allow the necessary funds for this specific project to move forward.
Because of these realities we offer a public appeal to NLP Bihor to not use projects of ADD Bihor in electoral purposes in any way, shape or form. We also request that the leadership of NLP Bihor immediately stop this false advertising which does not bode well for a party that aims to provide the next government of Romania. If it wishes to promote projects of ADD Bihor, it can do so firstly by correctly mentioning the real information to citizens. ADD Bihor has, as founding members, Bihor County Council and the 9 member municipalities already mentioned from Bihor county. It aims to fully support the social and economic development of city halls without factoring in political preference of local officials and solely concentrating on durable development. ADD Bihor currently operates programs in all its member municipalities which cater to a wide array of political party membership: Alesd, Beius, Stei (PNL), Marghita, Salonta, Sacueni (UDMR) or Nucet (PSD).
