Improving workforce occupation within the cross-border region
The project entitled “Improving workforce occupation in Bihor County, Oradea and Hajduboszormeny through local potential infrastructure development” was developed and sent for financing approval as part of the Interreg Romania-Hungary Program by Oradea City Hall in partnership with ADD Bihor, the Bihor County Unemployment Agency and Hajduboszormeny City Hall. The project has a total value of 7,526,798.22 EUR and aims to support locals of Bihor County – farmers, entrepreneurs, vulnerable or disadvantaged groups – through finding value in natural and cultural resources. The purpose of this project is to revitalize the rural economy in Bihor County and promote traditional activities and produce. The total value of the budget which will be offered to ADD Bihor is 250.000 EUR (of which 19.415 EUR represents the agency’s own contribution). From this sum, ADD Bihor will purchase three fully equipped vans which will be used as showrooms for presenting and selling traditional produce. There are also planned roadshows in 7 localities within Bihor County, together with advancement courses for a number of 400 small farmers. The project is currently in the state of signing the financing agreement.
