Salonta Bypassing Road – Feasibility Study

Deviating traffic to the outside of this locality would be necessary because of the increasing number of heavy vehicles which produce a high level of harmful gasses, noise and vibrations that affect the surrounding buildings situated alongside the road which is crossing the municipality, as well as eliminating the difficult areas from a geometric standpoint (turns with low angles which increase the risk of accidents). Once this objective is completed, the speed of traffic will accelerate and the transit traffic from the other roads which converge towards the bypass road of the city of Oradea and the future A3 highway will also be gathered up on this section. We estimate that traffic will rise greatly in the next period especially due to the fast connection between National Road 79 and A3 which favor facile connections with Hungary and the industrial parks in Oradea. The chosen route splits on the right side of National Road 79 and connects to the future node from the southern point of Salonta.
