Not even 10 days on from the decision to build the 9 didactic swimming pools in cities of Bihor County, as part of today’s work meeting of ADD Bihor, the pre-feasibility study for these projects was already presented.
Didactic swimming pools will be built in order to initiate students in the sport of swimming, with the opportunity to use these spaces by the general public after school hours. The functionality and maintenance of the swimming pools will be ensured by local authorities which will also decide pass and ticket prices. The pre-feasibility study presented data regarding the size of the pools (25 x 12,5 meters). The local city halls will offer ADD Bihor the necessary areas within their city limits on which the pools will be built, of approximately 3000 square meters each. In the next two weeks the proposed spaces for each swimming pool will be verified and the feasibility studies will be ordered for each location.
„Following positive reactions from the community, Bihor County Council has decided that this project will become a priority. We wish to offer children the possibility to practice this sport while also increasing the level of confort for the inhabitants of cities in Bihor county” – Pasztor Sandor, president of Bihor County Council. Our intent is to promote sport among children and create conditions for practicing that sport. The construction of the didactic swimming pools will also offer us the possibility of organizing aquatic sports competitions for all age groups.
